Our Values
My Goals
Pretty Fantastic Faces brings friendly and professional face painting to the East Sussex area; providing a range of fun and exciting face paints, glitter tattoos, Inkatoos and hair braids. My intention is to make your event the best it can possibly be by providing your guests with a special and gratifying experience, at the same time as taking the pressure off you – the host.
I can make life easier for party hosts and event co-ordinators, by providing the perfect addition to your event. I am a fun and creative “added extra” for children’s parties – or any event for that matter! Even though I primarily work with children, my services are open to any age. My oldest client so far was 89 years old. It was her first ever face paint and she was over the moon with it. Bringing joy to every client, of whatever age, and making them feel unique is one of my top priorities, and I try to interact with each person in a way which makes them feel special.
As mentioned before, working with children is my preference and, having had four of my own, I love being able to treat children to such an enjoyable and entertaining experience. I especially like working with children with special needs and making them feel important and valued; this is something I have accomplished in the past and found extremely rewarding.
If you are looking for a professional, fun and unique addition to your party or event, then please do not hesitate to get in contact with me. Whether you want silly, pretty, glittery, colourful or just beautiful face designs and tattoos, let me know and I can adjust my designs to your requirements. I can provide you with magical photographic moments that will last for ever.
The Service I Offer
As a trained and professional face painter with a fresh perspective, I update my designs frequently. When working with clients, I do my utmost to find out what their expectations are, so I am then able to work hard at fulfilling and even exceeding them. And if there should ever be a problem, let me know and I will sort it out! My clients are at the heart of my business, and I aim to create a high standard of satisfaction.
I am available to paint anywhere where there are children, such as Birthday parties, local Community events, Charities and Churches. However, I do not offer my services at weddings or festivals.
It is important that that you know I cannot paint the faces of children under 3 years of age, due to insurance restrictions and for their own health and safety. I may, at my own discretion, offer a small arm or hand painting instead. I cannot paint anyone whom I believe is suffering from cold sores, open wounds, nits, pink eye or any other condition that may be contagious. Nor will I paint a sleepy child, or anyone who is crying or scared. I want my service to be fun and exciting but also safe and secure, following all the best industry guidelines.
In instances where I choose to paint for charitable events, they are usually organisations which are close to my heart. At these specific events, I charge only a fee that will just cover my costs; however, I do not ever paint in exchange for “exposure and publicity”.
So if you are looking for that special and unique addition to your event, please get in contact and I will be happy to discuss your requirements and send you a quotation.
Care of Equipment & Hygiene
Following the appropriate industry and hygiene guidelines is standard procedure at Pretty Fantastic Faces. I take pride in the care of my equipment and ensure I am offering my services through a business in which people can put their trust
When face painting, I only use high quality products. My paints are beautifully pigmented and soft on the skin, with absolutely no sacrifice regarding the safety of the ingredients within them. They are all professional face paints, meaning they are hypo-allergenic and water based. All the face paints I use are EU and FDA approved, for the safety and comfort of all my clients, and I only use bio-degradable and cosmetic-grade glitter.
All my paints are within the manufacturers recommended shelf life because they are replaced just before they reach that date.
I am extremely focussed and passionate about the hygiene and cleanliness of my equipment, even when I am actively working at parties and events. Keeping my work station clean and pleasant, and avoiding contamination, inevitably may make my painting a little slower but I feel that this is a worthwhile trade-off.
I thoroughly clean all my paints and equipment after every event. My brushes are continuously sterilised during the painting process and then totally cleaned at the end of every job.
I also ensure I use only one sponge per child; thereby avoiding cross contamination between paints and application. After every session, my sponges are hand washed to clear excess paint, and then machine washed at 90º to kill any bacteria; so all my clients may be reassured that my equipment is clean and safe to use, and the way I work is efficient and professional.
Finally, for your peace of mind – and mine! – I carry £5,000,000 Public Liability Insurance.
